The Evaluation of the Current Status of Small Modular Reactors, (SMR) EVENT 15 November 15, 2024, Ankara
Chamber of Physics Engineers, together with the Nuclear Energy Engineering and Physics Engineering Departments of Hacettepe University Faculty of Engineering lead by Prof. Dr. Şule Ergün also Executive member of WiN Türkiye organized the event.
The symposium, which was held in four sessions with the participation of 139 people, featured informative presentations and evaluations on SMR by expert representatives from various institutions and organizations.
In the first session, chaired by B. Gül GÖKTEPE, Dr. Erol BİÇER, Head of Thermal Hydraulic Technologies Unit at FNC Tech. Co. Ltd., South Korea, presented on “Innovative Small Modular Reactor Designs and Advanced Safety Features”, and Dr. Gülçin SARICI TÜRKMEN from Ohio State University, Idaho National Laboratory, presented on “SMR Investments and Technological Developments in the USA”.
